Websites for companies in Germany

Impressum and Datenschutz included · SEO for Google.de

Your competitors are not better — they are simply visible. Right now somebody is typing “Bauunternehmen in meiner Nähe” and choosing a contractor for the coming weeks. They are not checking who works best — they are checking who they found.

The invisibility tax

You pay it every month. It appears on no invoice.

Do the maths yourself. One EUR 8,000 job that went to a competitor because the client did not have to search for them. Twenty per cent commission handed to a middleman for work you did anyway. Three empty weeks in March. All of that is a cost — nobody just invoices you for it. It is not a tax on the quality of your work. It is a tax on the fact that nobody can find it. And you pay it for exactly as long as you delay.

First instalment

Your work has a ceiling

Word of mouth reaches exactly as far as your circle of contacts — and shrinks with it when a regular client changes trade or leaves the country. Then you start from zero, at an age when you should be choosing your jobs. A website has no ceiling: it works where nobody knows you yet.

Second instalment

Referrals die at the fact check

Somebody recommended you — and this is where the most expensive moment begins. The client types your company name into a search engine to confirm the decision, and finds nothing. A referral you earned over years evaporates in fifteen seconds. You will never know, because that call simply never comes.

Third instalment

You are left with one argument: price

A client who cannot see your past work, your scope of services or your address has only one basis for comparison — the rate. You end up in an auction won by whoever earns the least, working for EUR 30 where the market pays 55. Visibility is the only way out of that auction.

A client does not choose the best contractor. They choose the best of the ones they managed to find. The entire difference between the two fits on a single website. Berliner Artpunkt

We are not an agency that woke up yesterday. Berliner Artpunkt is the web studio of Büroservice Szwarc — a Berlin office that has spent years handling official paperwork for companies in Germany: Gewerbe registration, Steuernummer, Freistellungsbescheinigung. We know your documents before you show them.

That has a very practical value. A foreign agency will build you a pretty site and leave the Impressum empty, because it does not know what goes in it. We fill it in correctly, because we complete such documents every day. You will not have to explain to anyone what a Freistellung is or why the Finanzamt wants something from you.

The mechanism that reverses it

The conversation that decides the job happens without you

Before anyone calls you, the client sits down in the evening with a phone and asks questions: does this company actually exist, has it done anything like this before, does it have an address you can return to with a complaint, does it even understand what I am talking about. You are not there. Your website answers for you — or silence does. Silence always loses.

That single conversation decides the contract, and costs you once what one decent job is worth. This is why we do not sell “websites”. We prepare answers to the questions a client asks quietly and that you will never hear — so that after reading them, they have only one reason left: to pick up the phone.

I want those answers on my site

The client stops seeing you as a foreign firm

A German spots an artificial sentence faster than a typo and reads it as a warning: these people will not understand me, and then there will be problems. We write texts from scratch in each language. The result: the client calls a specialist contractor, not “some foreign outfit”.

You sleep well instead of fearing a lawyer's letter

In Germany a missing or incorrect legal notice is not a detail but an invitation to an Abmahnung — and the bill can exceed the cost of the whole website. You get a complete Impressum under § 5 DDG, a Datenschutzerklärung under the GDPR and a cookie banner under the TDDDG. Included, not charged extra.

The client convinces himself before he calls

A photo on its own sells nothing. What sells is a photo captioned so the client sees his own flat in it: the same floor area, the same district, the same problem. Then he does not ask “how much”, he asks “when can you start”.

You stop losing jobs to missed calls

The phone always rings when you are up a ladder with a drill in your hand — and a client who cannot reach you simply calls the next name on the list. The form takes enquiries at three in the morning and on Sundays, with all the details you would have had to extract in conversation anyway.

You win where the game is actually played

You do not need to beat the giants on the word “Bauunternehmen” — you need to win within a thirty-kilometre radius: Sanierung Berlin, Trockenbau in der Nähe, Fliesenleger Neukölln. There the result is within your reach — and we build the site for that from day one, rather than adding SEO a year later for an extra fee.

It works where clients actually search: on a phone

Eight in ten clients look for a contractor with their thumb, during a coffee break. A site that falls apart on a phone loses them in two seconds — and you never find out. That is why the layout is designed first on a six-inch screen and only then opened out to a monitor.

Five elements that decide whether the phone rings

The first screen wins or loses the whole job

The client judges your company before scrolling even once. The rest of the site merely confirms a decision made in three seconds. That is why these five things have to be at the top — and have to be done properly.

A sentence saying what you do and for whom

“Construction services — John Smith” means nothing. “Turnkey bathroom renovations in Berlin, completion date confirmed in writing, fixed price” means everything. The headline is not your company name; it is the answer to the question the client typed into the search box.

Proof that can be taken in without reading

Sharp before-and-after photos, organised by type of service. The client scrolls through them faster than he reads sentences — and judges from exactly that whether you work as cleanly as your photos look.

Facts instead of adjectives

“Solid and cheap” is nothing. Years in business, number of completed projects, names of the materials used, scope of the guarantee, liability insurance. In Germany the word Garantie does more than a whole page of self-praise.

An address people can come to

The Impressum is the first place a German client checks — and the first place companies fail. A registered business and a real address in Germany say one thing: I will not vanish after the deposit.

One obvious route to contact

A client ready to talk should not have to hunt for where to click. One visible button, a short form, no fields you will fill in together on the phone anyway. Every unnecessary field costs a few per cent of your enquiries.

How it works in practice

A contract that came from a text, not a photo

A finishing contractor near Berlin spent years working as a subcontractor for large firms. The work was steady, the margin belonged to someone else. On his site we bet not on a gallery but on knowledge: short texts explaining when each plastering technique makes sense and how much it actually saves the client.

In the third month a property developer from Potsdam called. He had not seen a photo — he had read the paragraph about the exact technique he was looking for and concluded he was talking to someone who knew the trade. A contract worth EUR 45,000 net.

That is the difference between a site that looks nice and a site that answers the client's question before he can ask it.

A cheap website is not cheaper. It is simply paid for differently — not by bank transfer, but with the jobs that never reached you. Berliner Artpunkt
Copywriting in six languages

One badly written German sentence costs more than the whole website

A word-for-word translation produces text that is correct and completely dead. A German investor looks for figures, deadlines and guarantees. A private client looks for peace of mind. A foreign developer looks for a clear scope of liability. Those are three different texts, not three versions of one.

That is why we write each language version separately and around different keywords — because when searching for exactly the same service, each of those clients types completely different words.

Website of a construction company in six language versions — German, Polish, English, Turkish, Spanish and Russian — on a monitor in a Berlin office

German

The foundation, because it is the language of your market and your clients. Matter-of-fact, concrete, backed by hard data. That is how you build Seriosität with a client whose starting point is mistrust.

Polish

For Polish-speaking clients and subcontractors. A direct tone with no marketing polish — here honesty works better than smooth phrasing.

English

The language of international investors and developers. Clear, concise, focused on scope and responsibility, without local jargon.

Turkish

A large and active group of business owners and subcontractors in the German market — and at the same time the one your competitors almost never try to address.

Spanish

A growing number of workers and subcontractors on German building sites, plus investors from Spain and Latin America looking for a contractor in Germany.

Russian

Russian-speaking owners of flats, buildings and businesses who prefer to settle renovation matters in their own language.

You do not need all six — and most companies should not take them. In our conversation we will help you pick the two or three that will genuinely bring work in your trade.

Our work

This is what a site clients call about looks like

Six trades, one pattern: the service named plainly, the proof up front, contact always within reach. Each of these layouts looks equally good on a monitor and on a phone — because that is how it is designed from the first sketch.

How we work together

From the first message to the first enquiry — with no effort from you

Conversation and diagnosis — day one

We ask about your trade, your city, your type of client and the details for the Impressum. After that one conversation you know what it costs and what to expect. If we conclude that a website will not solve your problem, we say so plainly — even when that means no job for us.

Structure and layout

We decide what the client sees in the first three seconds and what only after scrolling. You do not have to design or invent anything — you receive a finished layout to approve.

Copy and optimisation

We write content around the terms your clients actually type into Google.de — you do not have to compose a single sentence. Titles, META descriptions, structured data, sitemap: straight away, not “sometime later, in stage two, for an extra fee”.

Launch — and from that day the site works

The site goes onto your server together with the Impressum, Datenschutzerklärung and cookie banner. You get an address you can give to any client, print on a business card and put on your van. We also show you how to add a project photo yourself.

Let us work it out once, calmly

EUR 500 once in the life of your company. Or 20% commission on every job until the end of your career.

The question is not “can I afford a website”, but what is not having one costing me this year. It is an outlay on the scale of one average job — paid once, with no subscription and no commission on work won. After that the site simply stands there and works: for a year, for five years, for as long as you keep the domain.

You buy the domain and hosting separately — and that works in your favour. The domain is your site's address (e.g. yourcompany.de) and the server is where the site physically lives. You register both with an external provider in your own name, so the address and the site belong to you, not to us. You can move them elsewhere at any time — without asking anyone's permission.

As a guide: a .de domain usually costs somewhere over ten euros a year and simple hosting a few dozen euros a year; the exact rates are set by the provider. We help you choose and configure both, and we upload the finished site within the agreed price. No subscription and no activation fee.

Two minutes now, or another quarter on somebody else's terms

Filling in the form commits you to nothing and costs nothing. We call back, ask about your trade and your city, and then give you specifics: exactly what is included, what it costs and when it will be ready. No brochure and no “it depends”.

The questions you are asking yourself right now

Every business owner in your position asks exactly the same questions. Not out of mistrust — but because it is their own hard-earned money. We answer specifically, without marketing fog, including where the answer is inconvenient for us.

I am not good with computers. Will I manage with a site like this?

You do not need to be — that is precisely why people come to us instead of building sites themselves. You supply what you know best: photos of your work and your company details. Everything else — copy, design, Impressum, publishing — we handle. You receive a finished address you can give to a client this week.

What exactly do I get for EUR 500 and are there hidden costs?

EUR 500 net is a complete landing page: a one-page site with sales copy, a form, the Impressum and upload to the server. An extended site with several subpages starts at EUR 2,000 net. Each additional subpage including copy, title and META description costs from EUR 180 net. No subscription and no activation fee. The only separate costs are the domain and hosting, bought from an external provider in your name.

Are the domain and hosting included in the price?

No — and we say so openly so there are no surprises. You buy the domain and hosting separately, in your own name. That is deliberate: the web address and the site remain your property and you can move them to another company at any time. We help you choose a provider, register the domain and configure the server, and we put the finished site live within the agreed price.

I already have a site but nobody calls. What will change?

That is the most common and most painful situation, because the money has already been spent. A site without enquiries usually has one of three problems: it does not appear for the terms clients actually type; it gives no reason to trust it; or it falls apart on a phone, where most clients look for you. We start by checking those three things and tell you honestly whether a fix is enough or a new site is needed.

How long will it take to launch the site?

From the moment you send photos of your work and your company details, a standard website is ready in a few to about fifteen working days. The pace depends mainly on one thing: how quickly you return the material. Companies that prepare the photos right after our call go live fastest.

Will the site comply with German law?

Yes, and we take it seriously, because in Germany a missing Impressum or Datenschutzerklärung is a real risk of an Abmahnung and its costs. Every site gets an Impressum under § 5 DDG (previously § 5 TMG), a privacy policy under the GDPR, a cookie consent banner under § 25 TDDDG and locally hosted fonts, so no visitor data goes to external servers without consent.

Will I be able to make changes myself later?

Yes. After launch we show you how to add a new project photo or change the phone number. And if you would rather not deal with it — write to us with what you need and we will do it for you. Your time is worth more on site than in front of a screen.

How many languages can I have and how do I choose?

We offer six: German, Polish, English, Turkish, Spanish and Russian. German is the foundation, because it is the language of your market. Choose the next one based on who actually calls you — if you work with Turkish subcontractors, take Turkish; if you serve Russian-speaking flat owners, take Russian. We will help you pick the ones that bring work rather than pushing the full set.

I do not have good photos of my work. Is that a problem?

It is not an obstacle to starting. Photos taken on a phone in good light work surprisingly well — the client wants to see real work, not a studio shoot. We will tell you what to photograph and how: before-and-after shots, finishing details, the whole project from a distance. If you only have a few photos to begin with, we launch with what you have and add more as new jobs come in.

I have not registered a business in Germany yet. What then?

Without a registered Gewerbe the Impressum cannot be completed correctly, and the site becomes evidence for the Finanzamt rather than a tool for earning. We work with Büroservice Szwarc — Polskie Biuro Berlin, which helps with Gewerbe registration, obtaining a Steuernummer and a Freistellungsbescheinigung. Sort out the paperwork and we will build the site in parallel.

The last paragraph — and the decision is yours

In a year you will have this site, or another year of explaining why you do not

You can close this tab. Nothing will happen — that is exactly the point. Tomorrow you will drive to another site where somebody else spoke to the client, somebody else set the price and somebody else kept the difference.

Or you write one sentence about what you do and where you work. Within a day you will have a specific price and know where you stand. Within a couple of weeks — an address you can give to every client, instead of explaining that “the website is being built”.

P.S. We will not promise you a specific number of calls — nobody honest does, because the result depends on your trade, your city, your prices and how quickly you call back. We promise what is genuinely in our hands: a site that is readable on a phone, written in your client's language, compliant with German law and built around the terms those clients really use. You get the tool ready to work. The job you know better than we do, you keep doing yourself.
